Anti-itch medication or natural treatment for cats?
Natural pet remedies can easily be bought which produce risk-free, effective alleviation for many well-known pet health conditions. In almost all cases they will achieve good results with out dangerous or disagreeable side effects. These days there is small reason to subject your four-legged friend to aggressive prescription medications given that natural pet remedies are proving to be so beneficial.
My sweet kitty Nellie got fleas from sitting near the door, where there's a ***** under it. (She's an indoor kitty.)
We took care of the fleas themselves, we gave her a collar, we sprayed her and used anti-flea stuff on the carpet, etc., but it's been a couple of weeks and she has a sore spot on her back from itching. It feels (under her fur) like a scab, and when we pet her on a certain spot, she tenses up, and if we do it too hard, she meows and even bites a little.
Is there any good natural remedy or over-the-counter medicine we can put on her itchy spot? Thanks!
We did use Advantage on her as well. There haven't been any more fleas, she just has an ouchy spot where she WAS scratching when she had them.

Keep aware of your pet's health and fitness. Get in the practice of giving her or him a routine examination on a regular basis so you will be able to recognize any abnormal conditions and take the correct action well before these become truly serious and tough to deal with. When you do need to start treating your pet, pick all-natural and herbal solutions to be certain you are choosing a gentle solution to your pet's problem. Limit the use of strong medicines that could cause significant adverse reactions long term.
Natural dog remedies are easy to find all over the internet however it's always hard to know precisely what treatment is most beneficial to purchase. Some of the dog and cat foods are filled with unnatural ingredients that can harm or even kill the animal. Make it a point to check ingredients and get just those foods you have looked into yourself and determined to be made using natural, nutritious ingredients. Sometimes changing to a natural diet, in place of commercial pet food, will see a huge enchancment in your dog's health.
Most of the top natural pet remedies can be found online. Take a look at some of the products referenced on our website for a place to start. It may seem a tad difficult to find beneficial organic and natural products but if you do a little research you will find the natural pet remedies you need. Many cost a little more than the items at your superstore, but isn't your four-legged friend worth it?

I would suggest asking this to your vet. You don’t want to try something that a vet hasn’t recommended because your cat could lick the medication off of herself and become very ill. Good luck!

If you got rid of the fleas don’t worry about buying anything else. Simply put neosporin on it. That will help heal her wound. It’s okay to put it on animals too! Their skin heals just like ours. She will probably lick at it and that’s okay just put it on there 2 times a day. Once in the morning and once at night. Good Luck! & Happy Healing!

Please take the flea collar OFF your cat – these things do not kill or prevent fleas, and can be dangerous.
Stick to the Advantage for flea treatment, make sure it gets on her skin. It sounds like your cat has a flea allergy – the fact a sore spot appeared indicates this. Do not rely on ANY pet store products.
